Cheese Paneer Paratha Recipe | Stuffed Cheese & Paneer Paratha

Cheese Paneer Paratha is a delicious, cheesy, and protein-rich stuffed Indian flatbread made with crumbled paneer, grated cheese, and aromatic spices. This indulgent paratha is crispy on the outside with a gooey, flavorful filling inside.


Ingredients

For Dough:

2 cups whole wheat flour

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup water (or as needed)

1 teaspoon oil (optional)

For Stuffing:

1 cup crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)

½ cup grated cheese (mozzarella or processed cheese)

1 green chili (finely chopped)

½ teaspoon cumin powder

½ teaspoon garam masala

½ teaspoon red chili powder (optional)

½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves

For Cooking:

Ghee or butter for roasting


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Apply a little oil, cover, and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare the Stuffing

  1. In a bowl, mix crumbled paneer, grated cheese, green chili, cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder, salt, and coriander leaves.
  2. Mix well to form a uniform stuffing.

Step 3: Roll & Stuff the Paratha

  1. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a small disc.
  2. Place 2 tablespoons of the paneer-cheese stuffing in the center.
  3. Seal the edges carefully and flatten the stuffed dough.
  4. Gently roll it out into a paratha (not too thin).

Step 4: Cook the Paratha

  1. Heat a tawa (griddle) on medium heat.
  2. Place the rolled paratha on the hot tawa and cook for 30-40 seconds.
  3. Flip, apply ghee/butter, and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with curd, pickle, or green chutney.

Enjoy with a cup of masala chai or buttermilk for a wholesome meal.
